The Train Station Nutrition Program

The Train Station's philosophy is that proper nutrition is one of the key players in a successful fitness program and should not be overlooked. The nutrition program at The Train Station is unique in that we focus on long-term lifestyle changes, instead of the typical quick-fix weight loss program. We meet with clients for a minimum of 8 weeks to educate about different facets of nutrition and to troubleshoot solutions to setbacks. We have found that clients make significantly more progress by including these follow-up appointments in our program. Our ultimate goal is to provide you with the tools necessary to get great results and most importantly, to maintain those results.

RMR only testing with follow-ups: $300
This program includes the initial hour consult, plus 4 half hour follow-up appointments over the course of 6-8 weeks in which we cover respectively:

  1. Hour consult: RMR, personalized meal planning, and the big overview of how much exercise and nutritional change you must accomplish to achieve your goals, take your weight and body fat measurement
  2. Half hour nutrition follow-up: food labels and organics, take your weight
  3. Half hour nutrition follow-up: meal planning and recipe ideas, take your weight
  4. Half hour nutrition follow-up: eating out and social events, take your weight
  5. Half hour nutrition follow-up: setbacks and triggers, take your weight and body fat measurement

Christina's bio (certified in nutrition in 2010):
My fascination with fitness and nutrition began in the late '90s after dropping roughly 25 pounds through diet and exercise. Having struggled with my weight for as long as I could remember, I armed myself with the knowledge and dedication to live a healthier lifestyle. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas, where I majored in kinesiology and nutrition.

Lindy's bio (certified in nutrition in 2004):
Once I was certified as a personal trainer and started working with clients in 1998, I was discouraged when they didn't make all the progress we both expected them to make. After researching multiple nutrition programs, improving my own nutrition, and losing about 15 pounds myself, I learned that food choices are responsible for at least 80% of the progress you will make with a balanced fitness program. I encourage each and every client to examine her nutrition program, no matter how good she thinks it is.
